yesterday I read a poem
that didnot belong to me
about a young man being abused
for no reason he could see
I thought I was the only one
severely beaten as a child
it seemed that if I breathed to much
my daddy would go wild
he always came home drunk
after working very hard
I remember being beaten
over dirt being in the yard
I raise my children differently
I cut down that family tree
I would never do to my children
what my dad had done to me
everythings not handed down
the design is ours to choose
we either make the difference
or the game of life we lose

Abuse is always a painful thing, especially when its at
The one's who are suppose to love and protect us.
But often times in spite of it we can become better parents
And stronger people.
This is a strong write
