Your simple smile, ever so sweet
The world seems to stop
As you shine brighter
Than the morning sun
You we're a saint
And no one could compare.
Your ash blonde hair
Brushed so neat.
You could take the heat
For anyone in need.
You are the best
The best friend
Anyone could ever have
You we're there
Whenever I cried
Told me, it was all ok
Talking for hours
Completely unaware
That your days we're numbered
The last days we're..
Hateful and vicious
If I knew then
I would take it all back
You showed all the signs
Why couldn't I see
My immaturity masking
What I should of seen.
A shot, a single shot was heard
The shot heard around the world
My dear Matt, why?
Could it have been me?
You see, I wish it was.
The kindness and your smile
Completely gone.
It's been years now,
The pain still lingering.
My heart is still torn.
I tried to leave,
Leave this world behind.
To be next to you.
Once again.
Now I realize,
You are there, way up there,
Watching over me.
Keeping me safe,
Wiping away my tears,
Still telling me it's okay.
My dear Matt,
I want you to know,
My love for you will..
Never Change.
