if you listen with your heart
instead of your ears
you might find a smile
or even a tear
writing has it's fault's
this we know is true
the magic in between the lines
is the effects it has on you
you being the reader
the one we seek to touch
without your inspiration
it might not mean so much
we bring our words to life
as the reader gives it air
without your best opinion
the words are just there
so take a little time
to read the words we've written
because without a bit of insight
the words are simply sitten
just ink on a page
like a singer with no voice
with out the one's who read them
being a word is it's only choice
your opinion's mean alot to us
a poet's true insight
it tells us if it's worth it
or even if we got it right
so take the time to read
your comment's always show it
it's the challenge from with in
in the heart of every poet

Thank you. You were right I did need to read this:) i struggle with knowing what to say at times. I struggle with laying my self at the mercy of critics too. For me to write poetry means to speak from my heart. That part of me that has been battered and the source of nourishment for parasites. That part of me that can soar and conquer all fear.
I sensed your words came from your heart. A very powerful poem. Thank you. |

| Words are meant to be shared, heard and read. I love your write, it gives value to the words I say and write. I love reading the poems my fellow writers share, and try to find the hidden meaning meant to say. Great powerful poem, thank you for putting our hearts into words. |

Thank you for putting that out there.Your right it's not just words that rhyme or words that sound cool when other people read them or even when you read them.It's what comes from your heart and how you truly feel inside,but I think that the emotions is the truest form of art....and just to let you know all the poems I wright is all really songs.
