Scarlet painted maple trees, bleed into a crimson dawn.
Solar powered symphonies, herald in the morn.
Delicately tinted rambling rose, are dipped in polished silver dew.
Liquid birdsong warmly ebbs and flows.
Prompting a sleepy speckled doe to rise as though, her legs were new.
Golden rippled tinkling streams perform the music of their day.
Dappled orange sunbeams light up summer field set for winter hay.
Time stands still.
Colours move.
Shadows fill, a trickling groove.
Meadow buttercups begin to melt, towards the midday sun.
Pastel butterflies with wings of felt, dance over glowing chrysanthemum.
A brittle breeze borne husk, sets sail along a green lagoon.
With several shades of fiery rust, a yawning fox draws to an end his lazy afternoon.
The yellow beak of a blackened thrush, laments the approaching night.
Russet tones start to rush, into a florid ruby light.
Saffron coated clouds, drip with pink ice cream.
Grey and silver shrouds, the gaily singing stream.
A sleepy speckled doe, settles down to sleep.
She wonders where the colours go, when darkness starts to creep.

Absolutely adored the imagery, but found the flow a little jarring. Beautiful though.
Cheers,
Mickey. |
