The winds blows, rattling my chain
Rain pours down, pelting my brain
Goodbye echos, shattering my heart
Reality piercing my soul with its dart
Been in this world over a half a century
Earned gray hair, wrinkles, bones are achy
Heard what you've had to say face to back
Yes, I've been keeping a running track
My response to the way you've acted
There's no reasoning or arguing with stupid
I have problems reconciling you with memory
You tell things differently from our true story
Words are often sounds used to mask truth
Memories become cloudy from misuse
Facts do exist, just have to be uncovered
Reality's out there, waiting to be discovered
Now immune from your tales of fasehood
I created the true reality of your childhood
Only God can explain why you've chosen
This path of hate, selfishness, delusion
Carry on with this destruction if you must
It'll lead you to heartache, this I trust
You may think you have the upper hand
It's a figment of your imagination so grand
Death almost took me as I gave life to you
You dare think you have this power, too
Of all my words, remember these I say
Between us, you have the higher price to pay
Goodbye, goodbye, take your evil with you
Know what I should have done, will now do
The remaining time allotted to me will shine
I chose to forget all your words, your crimes
Sun is coming out, another glorious morning
Feel my soul smile, heart steadily beating
Forced to say words felt, didn't dare verbalize
Hurt buried deep now that I said my goodbye

Another wonderful write, kinda sad though, I know the song
Of betrayal and lies all to well. I wll never understand
What goes through the head and heart of theses people
in the end we all pay for our sins
Kudos for a wonderful piece |
