We are happy in love, you and I
Happy together, frozen in time, with no goodbyes
Together as one, our love shows no shame
Together forever, our love burns bright like the brightest of flames
Yes that sounds perfect, if only it could be
If only I wasnt such a coward, its complicated you see
You are mine, my love, my life but only in a fantasy
Youre just someone Im too scared to love when it comes to reality
Youre perfect to me, but not who Im expected to love
Not societys idea of perfect, that kind we shouldnt speak of
So I let fear overpower, afraid of the judgment that lies ahead
Afraid of the low whispers, evil eyes, oh the stories, how they spread
So for now I stay trapped, deny all feelings, and deal with the misery you see
For now I shall remain a coward, impersonate who I do not wish to be
Courage is what I lack, shame is what I show,how I what to show you as someone I am proud of
But right now my dear, shame overcomes, right now youre just someone Im too scared to love.

| this poetry obliviously expresses how you feel right now. As all poetry, its always about releasing those emotions and learning to cope with it, than writing it down. So that the reader can connect with that emotions.. i felt it..so its a good one. |
