Ah popularity...it's the name of the game,
One in which many degrade for a glimmer of fame.
Not for a hand-out, nor for a place to call home,
but often times so that people will never feel alone.
They run the streets in their little cliques,
huddled close they walk while to their back they stick.
Talking their talk, and walking their crip walks
never fully knowing to where next they'll flock.
Ir's sad really as the thought comes to mind,
you know that old saying about the Blind leading the Blind?
No truer words have ever been spoken,
nor has a larger trail of hearts been left broken.
For popularity, though its beauty entices,
has within it a thousand and one vices.
Each of which are waiting to strip you hollow and bare,
leaving you with all the pain and the cares.
So tell me now and tell me true..
What good does this popularity really do for you?
