If I could get up close to you
& maybe hold your hand
I feel that you could open up
The Heart of this man
I see that you're confused
& feeling so alone
It's hard to fight the loneliness
being on your own
I know it's not been easy
with me locked away
But I wont be here much longer
so with all my heart I say
I want you & I need you
I miss your very touch
Anyone who looks at me
Knows I love you so much
So please give us a chance
Baby try this out for me
you're the keeper of my heart
& my lifelong destiny
the hot shot poet
