Every darkness that happened before
Lurks in quiet evil behind the door
Only to make up the body of how
Hearts learn which entry to allow
Too much blame of past events
Blinds eyes for the future sent
Ignore the previous hides the ill
Contaminates the present even still
Embrace which holds a dark chest
Brings no relief to a head's rest
Black light hides a rotten heart
Knowledge enables a bright start
Past is forever ingrained to the now
Sends the soul on an endless prowl
Holding it all in proper perspective
Let's time's shore give truth expected
Never give up the make of you
Combining with the best of two
Happiness, love wall a sea of hope
Sail forward, hold tight life's rope
