I feel the scars beneath my feet As tears fall to a steady beat, Her burning anger comes in waves. In cold shadow I stand and gaze Through salty spittle and frothy craze Of darkness and sound, her eyebrows raise.
Then her eyes, so dark and brooding Rip open the sky and burn the curve Of heavy ink over that shadow standing Just as I, to savour the verve.
