a tree story

Contributed by dipoet on Sunday, 13th May 2012 @ 03:01:35 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

on the side of the road stands a lonely tree
dreaming of a place in wood so near to the sea.
no arms no green scarf just a few leaves to hold,
missing a warm dress used to face the cold

under sun or under rain,no one came,
to hide to shelter or to draw a name.
until the day he passed ,pushing the rust,
a chariot fulls with dust, and loaf crust.

from that magic collection he chose
a heavy tire and rose it up to nose.
simple game, throwing the black junk
to the neck of the poor trunk.

the first failed, but he didn't curse or care,
he just won without showing a cheer.
now the tree lives with lasting pain,
gratefully prays for no more gain.

The words have a simple honesty about them. Congrad: on your first English word poem. English is tough.

Hey, nice poem! Love the strophe "under sun or under rain,no one came,/to hide to shelter or to draw a name."

Greetings
