Bypass my name

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Monday, 14th May 2012 @ 09:21:38 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I do not like being critisized
for the way I write
the words with in my verses
in my heart are right

for someone just to come along
and say you must write this like this
it's not my way of writing
nor will it be missed

I'm a plain & simple country boy
creating different lines
if I used someone elses words
then the poem would not be mine

I believe that it is critical
that we have different points of veiw
simple words that stand true to me
may not be true to you

we come from different walks of life
this is plain to see
a word that fascinates you
might be boring to me

I am just a simple man
this will never change
the words with in my poetry
I will not rearrange

so if you came to critisize
words I do not use in vain
the hot shot poet
bypass that name
the hot shot poet

your feelings are right. you should let anyone tell you how to write because its all about how you feel. It will be just the same if someone told you how to dress. In other words "Just Do You" who else is better qualified :)

words can be reprtitive but expression be unique. Ideas are already shared by many a writers you never invent them you should only innovate them. thanks for sharing.

I read this when you first posted and it lingered. You are right. We are all uniquely sculpted. Your poem inspired me. Thank you:)

Your confidence is admirable. I so agree with your outlook. :)
