take my challenge
but please beware
the challenge I offer
is so not fair
for 34 years
I've created these rhymes
about love & laughter
& many hard times
but you've agreed to this challenge
& I wish you well
so do your best
& give it hell
with my poems
I do like to play
when it comes to a challenge
here's what I will say
I stand the test
as time will pass
of creating the words
I know will last
defeat if you can
the words that I write
try very hard
with all of your might
make it understandable
so all can see
the pride in your work
the dignity
you insulted my work
but yet you cannot defeat
the words are here
& so discreet
you say that your better
then come on & show it
I'm just getting warmed up
I'm the hot shot poet

| Hmm. Well, you made me interested. Is this a real challenge? Because if it is, then I'll take it, and you can comment on my poems. Go ahead. I'll even thank you for the negative comments. You did, after all, comment on one of my first poem here, and that made me better. You are not afraid to write down your opinions. Great :-) This poem, here, is really good. I like the end to it. Stylish :-) |
