THINGS I SEE!
DARK CLOUDS...BELOWING WINDS!
TREE BRANCHES STRAINING TO RIP FREE,
THUNDEROUS CLAPS OF FIRMAMENT CLASH,
FEAR...FEAR... COLD SWEAT BREAKING FREE,
MY HEART PUMPING LOUD...DASHING BLOOD,
THROUGH MY VEINS IN LOUD RUSH!
TWO RIVERS BREAK ME IN THREE,
PULLING DARK HOOD OVER MY EYES,
THE BLASTS IN THE STREETS BRING RUSHING FEET,
THE EAGLE STANDS ALOOF DESPITE MY TEARS,
LOUD DECIBELS FROM CLOBBERED MASONS,
THE HOUSE, MY HOUSE, OUR HOUSE ...,
THESE WINDS...BELOWING WINDS...,
RIPPINNG THROUGH THE HEART OF AFRICA,
THE END GAME? I FEAR TO THINK,
THESE THINGS I SEE! THE CHICKS!!
WHEN DAWN COMES,
WILL THE COCK CROW AGAIN?
EVER...
