the sun took a break
to chat with the moon
when he saw he was running late
he said I must leave soon

there are those plants & people
that all depend on me
I somehow make the gardens grow
& bring the light so all can see

their is'nt any time
my job is never old
I bring a smile to many faces
& make the warmth when they are cold

& the early morning fog
puts limits on there sight
they depend on me to dry it up
& make everything so bright

so every single day
I show pride & dignity
because I know alot that happens
does depend on me
the hot shot poet
