she is not broken
her wounds will heal
they're all on the inside
but they sure are real
she's had her heart broken
like most of us do
but she is totally lost
on what to do
I tell her just play it by ear
with each passing day
believe in these words
the hurt wont stay
it will huant you & hurt you
as long as it can
it will never give up
untill you take a stand
once it knows the tears
have dried up & gone
it will go away
& leave you alone
so no matter how long it takes
threw the happy & sad
I'll be standing beside you
because I am your dad

| Very good words for a daughter that needs emotional comfort. Every daughter needs to hear comforting words like the ones in your poem. I'm sure you're a great dad. |
