the worst and the best

alarm clocks and cars
that's the worst
in school
it's the worst
in tomorrow
it's the worst
with schedules
and timers
running
that's the worst
at fast parties
in the middle of loud music
it's the worst
roller coasters
fast rides
a crushing headache
that's the worst
bright lights
getting dizzy
waiting
that's the worst

staring at the clouds
a moment of silence
that's the best

alone with a fantasy book
or listening to classical music
while eating Skittles one by one
that's the best

singing in the shower
after walking along a quiet beach
that's the best

sitting on the top branches of the oak tree
listening to the cheerful birds
the wind playing with my hair
that's the best

playing amid a sunny rain shower
underneath the beautiful rainbow
laughing with my friends
that's the best

writing poetry
daydreaming of beyond
early in the morning
that's the best

letting my mind wander
somewhere else
hearing the chimes
floating away in the wind
always living each moment
that's the best
for me.
