there is a strong desire
in every given way
a dependency of writing
to show what I have to say
I will not write a letter
that is just not me
I send my message in the way
of home made poetry
when I attempt to write a letter
it never comes out right
my words just seem to twist around
& some how I'll lose sight
sight of what I meant to say
just seems to fall apart
when I reread it never comes out
like I feel it in my heart
I must stay true to my heart
in every single line
it makes it simple for me
as long as something rhymes
it may be wrong but it is
the way I've tought myself
what you feel should not be kicked around
or stock piled on a shelf
sometimes it's the smallest things
that make the most desire
like simple words that are not heard
they really can inspire
the hot shot poet
