Why He Exists

Contributed by snc54 on Sunday, 10th June 2012 @ 02:56:11 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

For it is true;
God created man.
But we men have created a being
That is considered pure evil.

This being should not be proclaimed baneful,
But cherished for Its existence.
He is not his own entity.
He is the ignored side of God.

All know, God is peaceful.
All assume, God is not responsible for harm.
We created the Other
To take the mask of sin.

No need to idolize the mascot of vice,
But to simply recognize the fact of why He exists.
Satan lives because God is too pure
To blame for horrific dealings.

That is an interesting take on good and evil. I very much agree with your last stanza.

very very interesting poem. I truly believe God only intervenes in two instances. Randomness and chaos(terribly sad deaths) is what we have in order to exercise free will. God intervenes in times of sorrow. She gives us signs on how to get through our sorrows and appreciate our lives and the lives of those that we lost. Nice write.
