Bright Eyes
I can see the bright eyes Across the meadows Searching for their innocence, Lost so long ago That the jewels of remembrance Cannot find the earth of their beginnings.
So much to give for desire, So much That the force that drives the mountains Cannot contain the sorrow or her soul. They are of no importance now, The only meaning, The ancient men that want her in their pride
Where now is the dance of the night, Who plays the music of love? Gone now, to memory, To echo in the past
Oh beautiful one, Waiting for the end, Was your choice Worth the northern lights of life, Was it worth The flower of the words?

There is such tenderness and beauty in this touched with mists of sadness. Beautiful poem my friend.
