Walls closing
breaking
cracking
inside
A tidal wave
An emotional ride
The heart
battered,severed
broken
a lost soul
Unspoken
Stepped on
there is no care
but still there is fight
Which is rare.
Eyes that open to the soul
have the power
but power has a fatal hold
stay strong
there is beauty
then there is brutality
Where do you belong?

| This is the kind of poem that makes one think. I wonder, are you saying you have the power to strike back at those that hurt you but you choose not to? If that is the sentiment of this poem then you have a well written poem that comes from a pure heart. In either case I like the words. |
