I lied when i said
My heart could stand the pain
I lied when i said
I could handle the rain
I lied when i said
All my efforts were not in vain
The truth of the matter
Is that my heart still flutters
Each time your name is uttered
All my words turn into stutters
My brain develops shutters
All thoughts in my head scatter
I would give more than a thousand dimes
To cover between us the million miles
For a chance to see your lips curve into a smile
Which must be sweeter than sweet lime
And a million more times worth my time
Than sitting here and watching a mime.
