in Colorado we have wild fires
burning out of control
in Florida we have floods
making way for new sinkholes
Mother nature has her own way
of cleaning up this land
she needs no civilization
giving her a hand
no humans need to take part
in what she has to do
what she does is all natural
without help from me or you
her way of cleaning up
is as different as can be
but if you look hard enough
I'm sure that you will see
she may seem so destructive
to the naked eye
but if we all look hard enough
we would not be asking why
she preserves the inner beauty
of every living thing
you don't have to be a scientist
to see just what I mean
she is the reason birds are singing
& flowers want to grow
she is the reason for a lot of things
even ones that we don't know
so if you witness a disaster
it is no kind of test
it is simply Mother nature
at her very best
