As I walk along the path of green
in a place that is so serene
I am gently reminded
how our minds can be so one sided
in this place of beauty and tranquility
it really is not hard for me to see
what a beautiful place our earth could really be
trees of green so tall it touches the sky
making me wish I had wings so I could fly
further up on that very same path that I stride
there is a fawn eating leaves not bothering to hide
squirrels run gathering food in their cheeks
til they look like a puffer fish
all the while making make a wish
wish to take this peace with me on my journey through life
to help me deal with all life's strife
but a little peace of this place comes with me as I depart
etching a place upon my heart

| It's very true. Sometimes we all need to take a few minutes to remember the other side of things. Sometimes its only in order to make us more sure of what we beleive, and sometimes it may shape our beleifs into something new. Good poem. At parts, the rhyme scheme was a bit confusing, but good write. :) |
