the hours i spent thinking of you
you never admitted the same
the months i spent thinking
how the future will be with you
to you
it is nothing new to you
you make me feel as if
i'm a child who is hooked
on a simple treat
but within my heart
it is so much more
you take it for granted
when you know
i speak the truth
you know how i feel about you
yet you don't truly listen to me
unless it benefits you
one of these days
you'll find out
it is not nice
to mislead
a young girl's heart
and when you need saving from your problems
and you call upon me
just remember
"i'm just a silly girl who never meant a thing to you"
remember that

Time changes everything. It hardens the heart, makes wise the temperance. The emotions become whole. A single boy stomping on your heart becomes a moment in life. You will have many more moments. Good and bad.
That is not to say you should not embrace your heartbreak, for that too will change with time. |
