I Have To Rhyme

I don't like to rhyme
But all my writings have to, every time
If not, it'll just lose its pop
That is why I cannot stop
I've tried endlessly not to rhyme
But nothing GOOD ever comes to mind
The ones that do aren't worth a dime
If only I could; at least one time
I feel that with no rhyme
My writings are not sublime
I wish I didn't think this way
But I try again and again, day after day
To write one that still has that chime
But without the rhyme
