some people know the answers
the things you need to hear
they seem to know just what to say
to fill you up with cheer
just simple little words
noone else has said
puts all things in respective
& not just in your head
what I need to say is thank you
as I await the day to end
your words were out of kindness
& spoken like a friend
I do wish there were more like you
it would open people's eye's
giving them the strength they need
so they might realize
sometime life is tricky
but mostly for the best
we follow feelings everywhere
with hopes our heart can pass the test
so thank you very much
you brought my inspiration back
now I think with my persistance
I'll get me back on track
this is how I know to thank you
I hope my words will show it
you lit a candle to brighten up
the hot shot poet
