This morning I awoke
sun shine upon my face.
I wanted to stand up,
but my body was too relaxed with grace.
The warmth of the sun
overcome the pleasure of lying in that peaceful place.
It was time to stand up
and join the worldly race.
Another day is here
thankful to be here on this earth.
I am every day thankful
to my mother who gave me birth.
The sun so bright
shining upon our lives each day.
Appreciate the moments
its not always here to stay.
The clouds move in
rolling across the sky.
To the precious sun
for a little while we will say goodbye.
The clouds get darker
no room for the sun to peak through
Its not so bad
because we need a little rain too.
So I have awoken
outside I stand to breathe the morning air.
I welcome the clouds and rain
not so long ago were they there.
As I look to the heavens
i feel a drop of water on my face.
The rain is falling
and soon the sun will replace.
As our world turns,
the clouds come and go.
The sun remains the same
shining on this world we know.
Rain or shine
living in this world day by day.
I love and cherish the beauty of it all
being thankful for it in every way!
