Mixed Up World

Contributed by waynster on Monday, 13th August 2012 @ 06:19:49 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Where am I?
wandering thoughts roam my mind!
In a crazy mixed up world,
this has surely been defined.

Why am I here?
such pain and agony people seem to be in.
Nobody knows how to smile
all they can do is sometimes grin.

Having traveled far,
still feeling like I own no place.
I walk on the edge of a shadow,
careful not to show the true feelings on my face.

These thoughts I carry,
deep within the depths of my mind.
Somehow I reach out and grab other peoples feelings,
to help me understand all these thoughts that bind.

Setting here quite often,
wondering where I would have been.
If only I could turn back time,
turning it to way back then.

Then, would be a time,
where I had made a different decision in what I would do.
Unfortunately I cant turn back time,
and here I set, writing about the past and present, to you.

As mixed up as this world may be,
perhaps its time to leave the edge of the shadows where I reside.
I believe the time has come,
to continue in this life and no longer hide.

Let me walk from the shadow
with a huge smile instead of a sad looking grin.
Still grasping other peoples feelings,
trying to raise their chin.

Not knowing where I am,
or what I need to do.
Has got me in a place,
where I share my words with you.

So it seems
people hurt and society is a mess.
Someone caused it all,
but are unwilling to confess.

So you see why my thoughts wander,
often asking myself why everything seems so strange.
If many people would come from the shadows,
pain and agony would go away and we could really make a change.
