where I live in Florida it's been Raining everyday while California & Washington needs the rain to come there way
Idaho is now in the path of this devistating fire they are being told to leave their homes leaving nothing to desire
to just walk away from all they know I find it very sad they work all their lives to make a home to lose everything they had
threw this countries tragic nightmares what there dreams were all made of you will survive this tragedy with the one's you love
our hearts & prayers go out to you & wishes for the rain to soak to help you stop the fire's & vaporize the smoke
I know it's hard to do but hold your head up high it shows all your not defeated & noone will question why
I know it's taking all you have with all that you must do I know the whole world is now praying & they are coming straight to you sincerely the hot shot poet

It is great to know that you keep people you don't know in your prayers. And you are absolutely right, everyone needed to pray for them. But so many people's first reaction are "thank goodness that's not me", so I think it's wonderful that you saw the need to point out what the correct reaction is. And to your poem, I like the rhyme scheme, and I don't use a strict meter with my poems so I won't say you should one. And I think because of that your poem rose and fell like waves. It was great. |
