As the moss has reached up to forever seal silenced lips And cover their forgotten names So is the peace that is found within the grave Such as the serenity concealed deep beneath the surge of stormy swells As love is handed the shovel to bury its dead And memories bring comfort and heartache alike While insanity imposes on the balance between dream and reality So it is, with the passage of time that marked stones that once comforted become weathered and worn 2012

This poem slaps me right in the face. It/'/s been a few months since I went to see an old friend. Thanks for the reminder. This was a very sobering write and wonderfully explicit. What a jewel...…………... |
