Shall I Sing Forget

Shall I sing forget
Into the silences of the past
to dream the fallow fields

Like wheat shivering in the wind
Of the summer sun
Shall I be harvested by forgotten love

That surges forth
To plunge purging into my eyes,
That blind as I, I shall feel again

The words that seem forever,
And see once more the beauty
That lifts the breaking heart
