Birthday
I used to look forward to my birthday The cards with money in from relatives The gifts from my mom, dad and sister Going out for a meal with friends Going to the cinema when its my choice of film Cake and parties, jelly and ice cream
Those were the good old days Today its a text, a Facebook message wishing you returns Where are my cards? My cake? My party and drinks with friends No one cares, no one but me About my birthday now Im 43
Ill go to the cinema, Ill have a meal Ill dance to some tunes, alone Its my birthday and Im celebrating in style It only comes once a year So Im not missing out on my fun Even if its with no one
