Revelations

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Your eyes once spoke of happy times, of when we were together
Of how we clung to ourselves regardless of the weather.
When you came to me and I to you, as we fell into despair,
together our hearts would form a bond, I thought could never tear.
For no matter how close we were or far we were apart, you always seemed to reside down in the deepest part of my heart.
But alas things have changed, the night has turned to grey,
As the feelings that once held by us now seem to fade away..
Oh how I mourned the love that we once shared
As you went on with your life, pretending you never cared.
Leaving me broken and empty inside of which was easily seen,
"Your presence was not needed here" was the knowledge thar I gleaned.
It was then I began to walk this world, alone like times before,
eliciting help from every place, leaving me strengthened at my core.
But still suffering the after effects of losing something dear,
I quietly wondered to the heavens above if my prayers could they even hear.
Fast forward in time with me and you shall surprisingly see,
A brand new side and attitude, so content and carefree.
Showing up everywhere and in everything, that I am, say, or do.
Its strange to say that it feels almost like as if I'm over you,
And left the past cast down, for what it is today
A stepping stone in my life that will never crumble away

I loved the entire write but the end was so postive. It is always nice to see and find hope in the end...... it seems many have been having and dealing with alot of endings of late, deaths or breakups..... Nicely written verse and may your heart continue to mend.

Peace love n hugs
Michelle

beautifully and may I say it is wonderful that someone has found happiness in the end. Keep writing.
