Today, I do not need your sympathy
And I don't need to see your ecstasy
Today, I do not need your compromise
No, I do not need to hear those lies
And today, I am what I'm supposed to be
instead of chasing ghosts of you and me
You'll never know how good it feels to say
that I do not need you today
I'm reborn like a bird of flame
Today, I have no need for a masquerade
The smile I wear is genuinely made
Today, I do not need my sorrow
There's no happiness I need to borrow
Today, I do not need your photograph
I have no need to look at the past
Today, your memory has finally faded
I've let the hands of time confiscate it
I'm reborn like a bird of flame
