Bird of Paradise

To soon the sinews of my heart
Shall fade
The flesh dissolve and my bones
Return to dust
Yet my soul shall rise,
On brilliant wing,
A bird of paradise
To sing her to the night
And with my words
Adore her loveliness
Within a wreath of stars
