MY SIN

Contributed by mrsjackson on Monday, 26th November 2012 @ 08:58:03 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

When Judas received thirty pieces of silver
My sin of betrayal began
When he gave the kiss on Jesus' cheek
My sin then never left
When the people in the crowd shouted Guilty
This man - He deserves to die
It started the beginning of the end that day
Thus started a trail of lies
When they spit on the man who knew no wrong
My sin contaminated His flesh
When they slapped Him over and over again
My sin over powered the rest
When the bystanders noticed that Peter 3x
Was one that walked amongst Him
My sin of rejection came on so strong
The fear of my own death settled in
When the crown of thorns went on His head
My sins were driven deep
Into the skull of an innocent man
I then began to weep
When they whipped Him endless beyond recognition
To the point His own mother could see
My sins were everywhere because her son
Was sent here to die for me
As He carried the cross down freedom road
That led Him to the hillside
He noticed the heaviness - The overload
While the weight of my sins took a ride
When the spikes were hammered in His hands and feet
My sins were driven through
His flesh to the cross that kept Him bound
It was then He really knew
When they speared His side The Final Touch
My sins were gutted within
He bled so brutally upon the cross
So you and I could live!

A heart-wrenching reflection of what our Savior had to go through to relieve us from the burden of sin.
He is the Lamb that took away your sin, mine and our fellowmens' sin.
Thank you and praise the Lord for meditating on His passion so very deeply and beautifully

Blessings
Elizabeth
