mans final battle

Topic: ChristianPoetry

Hell is mans final battle and torture endured
and the devil is mans attempt to explain
and place blame
in oder to divert acceptance
of self questioning
and formulation,
of concepts which are alien
unsettling and unwelcome,

we all out of ignorance,
selfish grasping,
self preservasion,
instinctively accept
ludicrous concepts
of outside agents
good and bad
god the devil
hell and earth
light and dark
ying and yang
adam and eve
woman man.

belief systems
ancient stories
miraculous miracles
word of mouth
early script
devine devout
finding meaning
meaning to find
a comforting lullaby
to soothe
the blind.

some take advantage
to the weak they speak
through control
they offer
blissful ignorance
bleeting sheep
accept
sweet dreams
and defeat.

gods lamb
feeble and the meak
lay down with the subdued lion
one eye open
do not sleep
for you shall hear
my thunder and the breaking of my seal
have faith that you shall over come
the ruling hands
that place upon
the lands with iron fists.
sacrifice, my blood my life
i give i carve
my wrists

their crowns be gone
neither thorns nor gold
no longer written
in the book of life
the unjust
face justice
for unjustices done.
done is the deed
deeds done
suffering
strife

when free of guilt,
our learning tool
we step off the cliff
just like the fool
we think we are purified
jesus suffered for us all
but all must suffer
to be reborn
crowned with light
halo
crown of thorns

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
