PRIDE

Contributed by Compton-tre-block on Tuesday, 11th December 2012 @ 11:19:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

PRIDE mixed with dignity and ego makes me a man different from most ppl. My heart is blind it sees no evil undisciplined and free its protected by ego. Ego is aware and doesnt play silly games by the dames and manuevers all aims to avoid pains. Heart sees love and ego sees trouble. The heart is my spirit and my ego's the muscle. Ego is the bouncer at my hearts club, if that makes sense? In my defense exposing love thats pretencious. My heart says one more time, my ego says.. Never again! Mistakes have made me a clever man. On the flipside, past relationship exits in a way has made me kinda sexist, wrong to think.. I know!... But traits of women are to me quite detested. If its not you then please excuse my irreverence. My hearts a victim of my own preference. I dont hate women but im just more cautious, id never love again just to avoid losses. But then you say id be lonely, ive been lonely for years.. Its kind of grew on me. In the dark i have no fears. I live in my head in my own reality, escaped society into my solitude mentality. My PRIDE will protect me.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
