i miss you,
every breath, every step, i miss you
and it hurts so bad,
to think what we once had
the world at our fingertips
promises, forcibly broken
living a nightmare, but we are never awoken
and every step the darkness thickens
which way do you turn
when there are no doors open
you were too young to die
now in the metaphorical clouds you fly so high
but ill never forget
and they will never get
the feeling when you didnt open your eyes
they tell you its okay,
but thats a lie
they tell me its normal to feel like this
yet when i ask, they dont know why?
i need you, i can't do this without you by my side
and if this is grieving, then ill let it out
because this is what life is truly about
you are born, tragedy hits
it tears you to bits
everywhere lie shattered pieces of heart
from a self made monster that has ripped it apart
my mind, it turns on me too
but thats just like everything else
im scared, what am i meant to do?
im too scared to talk
too cared to move
i go to speak but the tears fall instead
and i remember all the words you ever said
they run through my mind
making me wonder why you left me behind
growing up, the closest thing i ever had to family
you never let me down
when i fell you held me strong
until you fell,
now its all wrong
that day we walked you down the aisle
words can not explain
hot tears fell, marking the wood in an emotional stain
before dissapearing, just as you were
in his coffin, i placed a box of memories, from age 1-16
the final words quivered upon uncertain lips
i promise..
and i miss you,
oh god i miss you.

I both feel and understand your pain. I recently lost someone too. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Just remember in the lonely and dark moments, you are not alone, bless your heart .
