Iam =Who am i

Topic: ChristianPoetry

who am i
and who am i to answer that question
with any kind of infalibility or unquestionable truth.
who am i?
well what i can say with some sort of certainty is that
everyone reading this has asked themselves the same question

WHO AM I

funny that we search for an answer to something that you would have thought we should truly know the answer to as we have been ourselves since the day we were all born, and yet
we still dont know who we are , why we are ,
we all search for meaning
and cause we cant eplain with 100 percent clarity
we all look to a greater source
a source to explain all
to pigeon hole our doubts and fears
we relinquish all responsibility
especially in the case of christianity ,
we accept the veneer of the true meaning of jesus dying on the cross
because it eleviates our uncomfort
the uncomfort we feel within ourselves when we sin and feel shame or guilt.
jesus suffered and accepted his own faults and the wisdom and spirituality of a saint was his earned reward.
not an excuse for us,
his suffering to enter the kingdom of god was to save us and show us how we too can enter that kingdom,,
but untill we understand that is the true meaning, then all shall remain blind and lost sheep,
he is our shepherd and we are his lost flock , and we remain lost untill his message we learn.
he died for our sins
so that we could be reborn
resurected into heaven
when we take responsibilty for our own sins
and learn from them.

our old self dies
and out of the ashes
we are reborn

Alice, I was looking for one of yours. This is kind of like, everybody's crazy, someone told me that, someone I really truly looked up to once said that to me. That person was smart, cool, kind, and wise, and I was proud, and also thinking, I was lucky to know this guy. I grew up trying to be him, in some small way. But he knew that about me. Oh, the answer to who you truly are, resides in others you come to know you.
Thank you for writing so well on such an exquisite topic. Because you're so right, it's something we all do ask ourselves as far back as we can as individuals remember. Probably in kindergarten, on the old school yard, or possibly even before.

Keep writing, I'll be looking for them!

Peace!
