Ill turn around and go the wrong direction
When the road Im traveling on cuts deeper than a knife
What I thought was right is no longer my reflection
And the darkness creeps into the dead of night
The path that twists onward takes a heavily toll
That familiar pain I know sometimes Ive earned it
But whatever it takes Ill endure the shame of this broken road
Because your love and smiling face is more than worth it
Baby blue eyes and my hope of a better life
You kiss me once and everything is beautiful
And as you hold me close Im never letting go
To that dream of you when I didnt feel so alone
When we finally meet that fateful day
And I cant find the words to say how much Ive loved you
In that lonely hour I held you close to mind
In a heart-felt place where I dreamed of you at night
