You died
Left me with her
Always asked why
Not what I deserve
Life was hard
Not worth living
Dreams a shard
Nothing forgiven
Time goes forward
Memories don't fade
Heart was blistered
Each day afraid
Fending off harm
Enduring the shame
Never sounding alarm
Grew sick of the game
Today is now mine
Yesterday a blur
My soul will shine
My future secure
Hate breeds end
Love creates tomorrow
Never will I defend
My dismissal of sorrow
