I cannot possibly think
Of a word to describe me
Perhaps I'm the missing link?
I'm not a famous guy
Nor rich or complicated
Of these I can't deny
I've somehow stumbled across your path
Is the world ready for us?
For it will reel from our aftermath...
To you I may be great
The man who saved you from
That evil thing you once called fate
But I am just ordinary
Another guy lost in the mess
My existence is just temporary
I'm no knight in shining armor
Or a superhero come to take you
This, live would surely deter
All I want is to be near
To comfort, love, and aid
To help abate all fear
We're just here to take life's ride
Our path is our deepest secret
To you I do confide
So, quite possibly
There is no way to describe
Who I am, I'm just me!
