A gift or a talent
it is something that comes from deep inside
You wont know if you have it
until you go that extra stride
It is something that makes you special
about certain things you do
It allows everyone else to see
something very special about you
A person with a gift or a talent
to them it is a natural flow
It may not seem like something special
it is only a direction in which they go
Words of poetry
not always so easy to find
There are certain times
when words just flow in a gifted persons mind
As a poet
this I can surly say
When the words start flowing
I just cant make them go away
Everyone who likes my poetry
tells me I have a gift
Every time I hear these special words
it gives my spirits a special lift
So, to all of my readers
this poem to you I write
Thank you for your kind words and support
and helping to keep my spirit in flight!
I believe everyone has a gift
or a talent for the world to see
Its not always so easy to realize it
sometimes until your down on bended knee

Like you I believe everyone has a talent or gift.
Whatever that happens to be isn't always recognised by that person it is true.
People have said to me in the past that I have a way with words when I set them down on the page. To me it is something that I enjoy, something that completes me. If it is indeed a talent then I'm thankful for it.
Like you say, we don't always see our gift.
