What Do I Do?

Contributed by PS_iloveyou on Sunday, 4th August 2002 @ 09:48:07 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

A love so deep
so pure so fine
trying to hold on
wanting you to be mine

Already I have a love
they're heart is very true
I love them so deeply
but now there are two

Can this really happen
can you love more than one
where am I to go
what have I unintentionally done

Not wanting to hurt either
not knowing what to do
feelings and emotions
this is all so very new

Hearts are going to get broken
nothing can stop the pain
what am I to do
I feel so very ashamed

Two hearts I hold in my hand
not knowing what to do
I wish that someone could tell me
for I do not have a clue

I found myself in this predicament before as well..actually am in one right now...one of them is in a way spoken for but he says that it has been over for a long time just can't seem to give her up because of feeling guilty (they have children together but are not married)...and the other is still young he is only 20 and I am not quite sure that he really knows what "love" is although what he feels has to be the closest thing to it..I love them both so very much and feel ashamed that I have let this happen and guilty that one of them is going to get hurt in the end who knows I may be the one who loses out...great write...

I understand how you feel... but you should try to think of the future in this matter. which one of them is it easier to picture yourself with a year from now, 5 years from now... who do you think you will be happier with? which one of them are you more comfortable with and why? look deep into yourself and ask yourself... what do I love about each of them? Question everything. It might help you figure out which one of them is the one for you.

A great poem...I think that all of us at one point in time have held two hearts in our hands. Choose wisely!:) ~Shayle~
