A grand design between the spirit, flesh and mind ,,,
Separate, yet gruesomely at times intertwined,,,
One always warning you to keep yourself guarded and safe,
the others always enticing you not to feel or to think about
reality at hand,,,
How is that possible you ask?
To feel and not to think? Its an escape of the greatest kind,,,
Not like a weekend get away or a two week vacation with pay,,,
But one from reality, where anything and everything goes
including your thoughts and feelings to what really matters most,,,
Its a high like no other, however its a low that you have chosen,,,
A temporary fix with no solution in sight,,,
Grasping for pleasures that may or may not be there,,,
An orgasmic or euphoric feeling perhaps never felt awaits;
However it could be the darkest possible of mental fates,,,
What will your choice be? Heed your spirit or follow the
beckoning of your flesh and mind?
Only you can decide what is best for you and your sanity,,,

| I liked this poem, it felt like one coming from your personal experiences, maybe a struggle you have had. I think a better organizational structure may have made it easier to read. It sounded good though, keep writing. |
