Doll Clothes

Contributed by dvtpdw on Friday, 15th February 2013 @ 12:04:53 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Scissors, needle, thread, colorful fabric
Cutting the pattern on the dotted line
Paying attention to the task is the trick
Doll clothes for these granddaughters of mine

The hands may be a little slower to grasp
Eyes strain more than I would have wished
Sew each seam, hem, attach each clasp
Having fun as each outfit is slowly finished

Spending hours immersed in every detail
Time flying by as I think of their pleasure
Watching as the creation begins to unveil
Can't wait to give them this new treasure

Time on my hands as winter closes in
No better way to chase away cabin fever
Anticipating their fun keeps me warm within
Dreaming of the adventures they'll discover
