you cannot sell a half a heart
or give it half away
it's like trying to keep the night
& never seeing day
to let go of just half your heart
you never could be true
for the other half is longing for
the other half of you
no matter what you think
or where in life you go
you'll feel like somethings missing
& only you will know
that little something brings the tears
& takes your world apart
the sooner that you understand
you'll find your half a heart
only you will know
who your heart belongs to
& when it comes together
your dreams will all come true
