I felt the blade tear, I controlled it with the utmost care,
tearing just deep enough, I was drunk, I knew exactly what I was doing and the blood begun to flow,
I was still capable of bleeding, I was still capable of feeling.
Slowly and deliberately I tore gently, and watched a slow trickle at first then flowing gently then running but not gushing, my mind clear and empty, drunk yet sober,sane,quiet,clear - relief. Sanity I wrote, I washed away the blood watched it change from deep almost black red to pale pink as it went down the sink. Sanity.
I wrapped my arm in toilet tissue and taped it up.
